Leveraging experience spanning IPOs and Oscar & Grammy events, I establish the overall engagement goals for live event activations and obsess over the smallest details.

Shutterstock NYSE Listing Day

Shutterstock went public in October of 2012. To celebrate, I created a 75 foot banner covering the facade of the New York Stock Exchange, cut a reel of our stock footage to play on a jumbotron in the NYSE courtyard, and designed commemorative calendars featuring our images to give away to the public. Additionally, I oversaw the creation of multimedia animations for the NYSE interior video walls and banners for the bell ringing podium.

Shutterstock SXSW

I led the creative development for our photo documentary of SWSW in 2012. The campaign included a 1983 VW Westfalia, outfitted as a mobile photo booth, a team of on-the-ground photographers, and two massive projection walls in the heart of downtown — all of this was live streamed during SXSW on Shutterstock's Facebook page.

The Duke of Cambridge Visits Shutterstock to Celebrate US and UK Innovation

I was honored to work on the “Innovation is GREAT” reception  held at the Shutterstock offices in the Empire State Building. His Highness and NYC Mayor de Blasio presented awards to tech companies that displayed true innovation in their work. I commissioned a Shutterstock artist to create custom illustrations representing both countries that were given to each government leader. Additionally, I designed a video wall, customized photo booth, and designed packaging for the contents of VIP gift bags.

Essence Music Festival

For 3 nights of legendary musical performances (Prince, Mary J. Blige, Lionel Richie, Janet Jackson) and 3 days of inspiring speakers (Barak Obama, Hilary Clinton, Soledad O'Brien) and free sponsor activations, ESSENCE takes over New Orleans every 4th of July weekend. I conceived and executed an ESSENCE Merchandise pop-up store, all event signage, promotional giveaways, and all ancillary sponsor events. During the 4 years I worked on the event, we grew sponsorships and attendance to record breaking levels, with well over half a million people at the event.

Sponsors included Coca-Cola, MCDonald's, Verizon and Ford.

Black Style Now

Held at the Museum of the City of New York, Time Warner and ESSENCE partnered to present the groundbreaking exhibition of African-American fashion through the decades. Using a black gloss against black matte printing technique, the invitations, event signage and promotions reflected both the theme as well as provided a fashion-forward aesthetic.

Sponsors included Macy’s, Pepsi and Sony.

ESSENCE presents Black Women in Hollywood

I was really excited to work on ESSENCE’s first – and several sequential – Oscar Awards parties. From custom trophies honoring African-American acting legends to event collateral bejeweled with Swarovski crystals, each event had a unique and elegant impact.

Honorees included Zoe Saldana, Jada Pinkett Smith, Queen Latifah and Ruby Dee.

Sponsors included Lincoln, MasterCard and Swarovski.
